Can I join an event before the event date?

Yes, you can join an event starting seven days before the event date.

How it works:
1. Tap the invitation link or scan the host’s QR code.
2. Enter your name (free text, no account needed).
3. You land directly in the event gallery – even if no photos are there yet.

Requirement: The host must have activated the event. Before that, links/QR codes show a notice that the event is not active yet.

What do you see before the event? Depending on the event, an empty gallery, already uploaded preparation photos, or host notes. You can immediately upload and view images yourself – perfect for arrival, setup or countdown.

Guest vs. host link: Normal invitations add you as a guest. A host invitation additionally makes you a host with admin rights.
